Brent Carter

Brent Carter, a retired businessman from Oak Park, Illinois, is one of the most experienced tournament players in the circuit. He has been around the gambling scene most of his life: his introduction to poker came during elementary school, when he began playing penny ante with his friends. Brent has made money on sports betting, horse racing and playing poker. Carter is an old school poker player, and even though he is probably not at his peak anymore he will continue to cash in some tournaments.

Brent won his first WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 1991 World Series of Poker, defeating O’Neil Longson in the final heads-up confrontation. He won his second bracelet in the $1,500 Limit Omaha event at the 1994 World Series of Poker. Brent has finished in the money of the World Series of Poker $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event three times, including a 3rd place finish in 1995.

Carter has 46 lifetime cashes at the World Series of Poker. He also holds titles from the Diamond Jim Brady Poker Tournament, the L.A. Poker Classic, the Super Bowl of Poker, the Hall of Fame Poker Classic, Queens Poker Classic, the Carnivale of Poker, Gold Coast Open, California State Poker Championship, the 1997 Card Player Cruise, the World Poker Challenge and the King of the Hill tournament. He currently lives in Treasure Island, Florida. Brent Carter won the Best All-Around Player Award at the Four Queens Poker Classic in 1995.
