Todd Brunson
It was only natural that being the son of Doyle Brunson, Todd Brunson would follow his father's footsteps; but it was not until later in life, that he would take up poker. He spent his childhood in a normal fashion; well as normal, as could be expected for the son of a poker player back in the days before the mainstream TV coverage, Internet and monster tournament prize pools.
The Brunson family moved around quite a bit; circulating between Texas, California and Las Vegas while papa Brunson was building his legend in poker rooms out west. As for Todd, he began playing poker at college in Texas with his friends, while his family was living in Las Vegas.
At the age of 21, he won the $200,000 Diamond Jim Brady tournament, at the Bicycle Club in Los Angeles and, needless to say, that was the end of his college career. He made the decision to pursue poker on a full time basis and moved to Las Vegas, excelling at high-stakes cash games. As the popularity of poker grew, along with the prize pools of tournaments, he began to work on that part of his game. In 2005 he won his first WSOP gold bracelet in the $2,500 Omaha Hi/Lo Split event.
Todd Brunson is regarded today as one of the top high-stakes cash game players around. In fact, he is a regular in 'The Big Game' at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
His live tournament winnings exceed $4 million.

- In 2006, he won the Poker Superstars 3 Grand Final against Antonio Esfandiari winning the first three matches in a best of five heads-up format, he took home $400,000.
- In 2006, won the Poker Superstars 2 quarter-finalists freeroll and took home $500,000.
- It is said that he once won over $13.5 million in a two day span in a heads-up, $50,000-$100,000 Limit Hold’em game.
- He has finished in the money in 47 WSOP and 7 WPT events.
